Introducing Bob Lotich

I'm thrilled to have my friend Bob Lotich on the show today. Bob is the host of the award-winning Seed Time blog and Seed Time Money podcast. Bob and his wife Linda have been empowering Christians to live financially free and give generously for almost two decades now.

This journey for Bob began one day back in 2002. His car had broken down and he was stranded 1,000 miles from home with only $7 left in his bank account. Bob had reached his breaking point. He was stuck in a dead-end job, living paycheck-to-paycheck, and overwhelmed by debt. Bob had been following the world's advice with money and this was the fruit of it. In desperation, he cried out to God for wisdom, for a different way. The answer was a simple four-part formula, one based on timeless biblical principles, and, most importantly, it worked.

After applying this simple formula, Bob discovered that his financial stress melted away and he finally felt fully in control of his money. As he continued to follow the four steps, he paid off over $400,000 in debt, reached a personal goal of giving $1 million by age 40, and achieved a level of financial freedom he never dreamed possible.

Since 2007, through their blog, podcast, and several books, including his most recent one published in 2022 called Simple Money, Rich Life: Achieve True Financial Freedom and Design a Life of Eternal Impact, Bob and Linda have shared their practical, Bible-based financial insights with over 54 million readers and listeners.

Bob and I first connected over 10 years ago, back in 2011 I think, when I was actively blogging on personal finance for pastors. At some point, Bob invited me to become one of the writers for his blog, which I was completely honored to do.
